Heaven and the New Creation

The Christian hope is resurrection and a renewed world.

Popular imagination pictures disembodied souls on clouds. Scripture ends with a city, a renewed earth, and God dwelling with people.

The intermediate state — being 'with Christ' after death — is real but not the final hope; bodily resurrection is.

Key verses

  • Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man.

    Revelation 21:3
