Bible

Inspiration of Scripture

God speaking through human authors.

Inspiration means God so worked through the personalities, research and circumstances of the biblical writers that the result is his word.

It does not mean dictation. The differences in style between Luke, Amos and Paul are real and intended.

Key verses

  • Men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

    2 Peter 1:21
