God
The Holy Spirit
The third person of the Trinity, present and active now.
The Spirit gives new birth, indwells believers, forms Christ-like character, empowers service and unites the church.
He is personal — described as teaching, guiding, grieving and interceding — rather than an impersonal force.
Key verses
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you.
Acts 1:8
