Grace
God's unearned favour towards people who cannot earn it.
Grace means gift. In Christian teaching, salvation, forgiveness and adoption into God's family are given freely because of Christ, not achieved by moral performance.
Grace does not make obedience irrelevant; it changes its motive. Obedience becomes gratitude rather than payment.
